Job summary

The Regents of the University of California on behalf of their Los Angeles Campus is seeking a Water Resources Manager within Energy Services & Building Controls to oversee campus potable water, sewer, and wastewater utility services and related capital programs.

Reporting to the ES&BC Director, the role coordinates with LADWP, LA Sanitation, and regulatory agencies, tracks budgets and rate studies, and ensures compliance and conservation across campus water systems with cross‑functional support

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in energy management, facilities engineering, or utility operations.
• Experience managing multi-year capital programs or operational improvements with budget oversight.
• Knowledge of potable water, sewer/wastewater, and energy conservation practices.
• Experience with metering, data analysis, and energy/water data systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage campus potable water, sewer, and wastewater utility services and related capital programs.
• Coordinate with LADWP, LA Sanitation, and regulatory agencies on compliance and rate reforms.
• Oversee budgets, billing, and recharge reconciliation; support water/sewer cost‑of‑service studies.
• Collaborate with Grounds, FM Finance, Procurement, and sustainability stakeholders.
