Job summary

University of California, Los Angeles seeks a Water Resources Manager within Energy Services & Building Controls to oversee campus potable water, sewer, and wastewater utility programs. You will coordinate with LADWP, LA Sanitation, and regulators to ensure compliance and sound budgeting.

The role is an individual contributor focused on translating water/ sewer strategy into measurable operational outcomes, aligned with UCLA Climate Action goals and FM strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in energy management, facilities engineering or utilities in a large campus.
• Experience managing multi-year capital programs and budgets.
• Knowledge of HVAC, building automation and utility operations.
• Experience with metering, energy/water data analysis, and related systems.
• Familiarity with UC or public-sector procurement and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage campus potable water, sewer, and wastewater utility services.
• Coordinate with LADWP, LA Sanitation, and regulators on compliance.
• Oversee budgets, billing, and recharge reconciliation for utilities.
• Support water/sewer rate studies and metering expansion programs.
• Track conservation program performance and liaise with FM and campus stakeholders.
