Job summary

Mannik Smith Group in Waynesboro, VA is seeking a Team Lead Water Resources Engineer with 6–10 years of experience and a PE. You will guide a project team, mentor engineers, and deliver drainage and stormwater designs for transportation projects across the state.

You will lead hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, manage scope and communications with DOT and local agencies, and help grow your team in a collaborative, close-knit office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 6–10 years of water resources design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrology and hydraulics design for transportation projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and client communications.
• Mentor engineers and guide team growth.
• Prepare engineering reports and calculations for submittals.
• Collaborate with DOT, local agencies, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Federal/State/Local requirements.
