Job summary

STV Inc. is seeking a Lead Water Resources Engineer to support transportation infrastructure projects across Virginia. This position allows for a flexible work environment from one of our Virginia offices. The ideal candidate will lead complex design tasks and provide technical leadership while mentoring early-career engineers.

Key responsibilities include managing stormwater permitting, overseeing drainage system design, and supporting public-sector clients. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and over 10 years of experience in water resources design are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in water resources design.
• PE license in VA/DC preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with floodplain analysis or watershed modeling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead water resources engineering design for transportation projects.
• Perform and oversee design of stormwater management systems.
• Prepare and review technical reports and drainage design documentation.
