Job summary

RK&K is seeking an Engineer to join our Water Resources team in Nashville, TN. You will support DOT and municipal projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary group across the company.

This role involves hydraulic/hydrologic analyses, design, and reporting for diverse water resources initiatives. The ideal candidate has a Civil/Environmental Engineering background, 4–7 years of experience, and proficiency with CAD, MicroStation/ORD, ArcPro, and ESRI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 4–7 years of water resources engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD, MicroStation/ORD, ArcPro and ESRI software.
• Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS preferred.
• Professional Engineering Registration in TN or reciprocity within 6 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver water resources solutions for public and private clients.
• Proactively manage scope, schedule, and budget per PM.
• Provide high-quality client services and timely deliverables.
• Lead tasks including scope, schedule, budget, and personnel with minimal oversight.
• Coordinate with design team, engineers, technicians, surveyors, contractors, and clients.
• Support office and site visits for projects and pursuits.
• Mentor junior staff and conduct quality reviews.
