GEI Consultants, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Senior Engineer/Practice Leader to expand our Water Resource market in Western Virginia and nearby regions. The role emphasizes technical leadership, business development, and managing projects and staff across dams, levees, and water control structures.

Hybrid work and periodic office visits in Charlottesville are possible. The candidate should have 12+ years in civil/geotechnical engineering, PE license, and a track record of growing client

Qualifications

• Minimum of B.S. degree in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering; M.S. preferred.
• 12+ years progressive Civil/Structural/Geotechnical experience; 10+ years in project management.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial attitude and ability to generate new work and grow a business segment.
• Ability to support federal, state and local agencies in the Eastern US; PE license required.
• Desirable: strength in dams, levees and hydropower services.

Responsabilités

• Focus on business development and market expansion including service cross selling.
• Maintain high visibility in the marketplace through client contact and industry events.
• Manage projects and staff including technical leadership, oversight, and mentoring.
• Provide technical assistance and project management for dams, levees, and water control structures.
• Recruit and train additional staff and model GEI culture values.
