Job summary

WSB is seeking a Planner, Water Resources to join our growing Minneapolis team. You will develop stormwater management plans and water resources frameworks, coordinate with clients and agencies, and prepare technical reports.

The role requires 1–5 years of experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and the ability to work onsite up to five days per week. Travel may be required; a valid driver's license is required. WSB offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, environmental studies, or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in Planning and/or Water Resources.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Occasional on-site work up to five days/week.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support stormwater management plans.
• Develop water resources, surface water, and drainage frameworks for comprehensive plans.
• Compile, write, edit, and maintain technical reports and memoranda.
• Review and update ordinances related to stormwater and water resources.
• Coordinate with clients, watersheds, and agencies on water resources projects.
• Assist with development of permits for watersheds and agencies.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to meet schedules and budgets.
• Lead work teams and multiple projects; support proposals; track budgets.
• May remain in stationary position for extended periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
