Job summary

Horrocks seeks a Professional Engineer for Water Resources to work on large, multi-discipline water projects. You will design and analyze waterlines, pumping and storage facilities, and sewer systems, while preparing plans, reports and cost estimates for diverse projects.

Interfacing with clients and stakeholders, you will coordinate with offices and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and budgets. A PE license and 2–4 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• 2–4 years of water system, sewer collection or hydraulics design experience.
• Experience with municipalities, water agencies, tribes and flood control agencies preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and water system modeling software.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of waterline, pumping and storage facilities and sewer systems.
• Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support project managers with client relations and stakeholder management.
• Coordinate with clients including state and local agencies.
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish.
• Assist in proposal preparation including scope, schedule, and budget.
