Job summary

LPU Batangas in Anchorage is seeking a summer internship focused on water resources engineering. You will assist planning, design, and implementation of projects such as stormwater and floodplain management, conduct analyses, and support regulatory compliance.

You will work with interdisciplinary teams, gain exposure to ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil3D, and participate in fieldwork and internship activities during the summer.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in civil or environmental engineering with interest in water resources.
• Good working knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Self-motivation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to work safely in office and field environments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and implementation of water resources projects including stormwater, floodplain management, fish passage design, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, calculations, and design.
• Conduct ArcGIS analysis and develop figures.
• Use AutoCAD Civil3D for drafting and design.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Develop technical memos and reports.
• Participate in fieldwork as required.
• Engage in the summer internship program activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including environmental science and transportation disciplines.
