Job summary

Reeves Young is seeking an Operator - Water Resources for Rock Hill, SC. This full-time role involves operating and maintaining heavy equipment to move earth, dig trenches, and support street projects.

You will work with a team of skilled operators, perform daily safety and maintenance checks, and coordinate with foremen to ensure work meets project specifications and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of heavy equipment operation techniques involved in moving earth
• Skilled in heavy equipment operation
• Precision and detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions closely
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to operate valves, levers and control panels
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain a schedule of work
• Able to perform physical activities including lifting and climbing
• Familiarity with safety procedures and certifications

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as water trucks, excavators, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors and other pieces of equipment
• Transports and delivers materials to various destinations at the job site
• Performs street maintenance and excavation work
• Services and performs general and preventative maintenance on equipment
• Check equipment fluid levels daily
• Installs and maintains signs and fencing
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
• Cleans heavy equipment as needed
• Coordinates work with Foreman and other positions
• Responsible for safety of individuals in trenches
