Mississippi State University is seeking a full-time Project Manager for the Mississippi Water Resources Research Institute to oversee multiple grant projects on water quality testing in schools and childcare centers. The role involves planning, implementing, and coordinating project activities and supervising staff.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in a related field and substantial experience in project management, with strong knowledge of regulations governing water and wastewater

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in General Business, Agricultural Economics, or related; 5 years of experience or related.
• Preferred: more than 10 years of water and/or wastewater systems experience and managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Knowledge of state, regional, and national regulations related to water and/or wastewater systems.

Mansioni

• Plan project activities after funding is awarded.
• Manage daily activities with minimal oversight.
• Supervise project personnel including full-time, part-time, intermittent workers, and students.
• Evaluate schools and childcare centers; provide technical assistance for compliance and function.
• Deliver educational presentations to diverse audiences.
• Create reports and outreach materials for schools, owners, operators, parents, and sponsors.
• Ensure quality management to meet project requirements and objectives.
• Coordinate with other project managers on budget, progress, and required reports.
• Procure, maintain, and oversee inventory of equipment and materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
