Job summary

Stantec's Minneapolis, MN office is seeking a Water Resources Technician to perform field inspections, erosion control, and environmental compliance tasks. Flexibility to work both in office and on construction sites is required, with occasional travel to Greater Minnesota or neighboring states.

Qualifications

• Must have technical degree or equivalent related field with 0–2 years experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and technical communication skills are required.
• Willingness to travel and work at construction sites as needed.
• Knowledge of HSSE policies and client-specific training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct erosion control, stormwater, and environmental compliance inspections on active construction sites.
• Determine restoration methods for wetlands and ensure seed mixes meet SWPP, VMP, and AIMP requirements.
• Monitor construction activity for noxious weed infestation and document issues of noncompliance.
