Job summary

McAdams is a full-service design firm seeking a Technical Manager in civil engineering in Denton, TX. You will lead a production team, solve complex technical problems, and work with Project Managers to realize client visions.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of experience, a Texas PE license, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, and flood modeling tools. You will mentor Water Resources Designers and Project Engineers across offices.

Qualifications

Four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering or related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering.
Texas PE license.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, storm drainage modeling software and flood modeling software.
Site civil engineering expertise for stormwater and natural resources.
Prepared to provide work samples or take a CAD assessment.

Responsibilities

Lead a production team, provide resource management, resolve technical and design problems, and mentor staff.
Design and produce civil engineering construction documents (site plans, utility plan/profile, design reports, specs).
Prepare local and FEMA flood studies.
Design storm drainage and culverts.
Perform site grading, earthworks, and sediment/erosion control design and permitting.
Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, contractors, and owners.
Coordinate with local and third-party utility providers about project impacts.
Work from concept through construction administration with the project team.
