Job summary

WSP USA invites you to join its Water Resources Engineering Internship in Seattle, WA, as part of the Summer Internship Program. You will work with senior staff on real projects, building practical skills across civil, chemical, or environmental engineering.

Applicants must be actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate engineering program with a projected graduation date in 2027 or later; the 12-week program begins May 17, 2027, with some flexibility on start date.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited engineering undergraduate program with graduation date Dec 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrated interest in water-related field and desire to develop skills for WSP projects.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers on projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and tools.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.
• Commitment to workplace safety and policies.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies.
• Note: no relocation or housing assistance provided.
