WSP USA is offering a Water Resources Engineering Internship in Seattle, WA, designed for current undergraduates or graduates. This 12-week summer program begins May 17, 2027, with a flexible start date.

Interns work alongside senior staff, gaining exposure to real projects and mentorship through the Developing Professionals Network. Responsibilities include supporting civil, chemical or environmental engineering tasks, assisting with research, field work, and preliminary design computations,

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited engineering or related undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation after Dec 2027.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrated interest in water-related field and a desire to advance skills related to WSP’s projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and tools.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations/analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
