Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to work in our Seattle, WA office as part of the Summer Internship Program. This 12‑week internship starts May 17, 2027, offering hands‑on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real projects alongside senior staff.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, 18+, with an interest in water-related fields. No relocation or housing support is provided.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited engineering or related undergraduate program with graduation Dec 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in water or related field and desire to grow in WSP projects.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Able to take direction from leaders and mentors to support projects.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds and resources.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
