Job summary

Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking a water resource engineer to join our stream and wetland restoration design group based in the Louisville, KY office. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team advancing innovative approaches to restore ecosystems, with emphasis on 2D hydrodynamic modeling of flood events and field investigations across the eastern United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental/water resources or closely related discipline.
• Foundation in fluid mechanics and open channel flow.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative design of stream and wetland restoration projects.
• Fieldwork to assess sites and monitor post-restoration sites; oversee construction.
• 3D design in Autodesk Civil 3D and flood vulnerability assessment using 2D models.
• Develop concept level, permit-ready and constructible drawings.
• Create high-resolution topographic datasets and support proposals and reports.
