Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Virginia Beach, VA team. The role covers stormwater management and water resources design from feasibility through detailed design and hydraulic analysis.

You will work in a team of engineers and scientists, performing field work and collaborative design tasks with opportunities to participate in stormwater design projects and advanced technical training.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of related experience required.
• Some field work will be required as needed.
• Demonstrated experience with hydraulic calculations.
• EIT or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in field work including stormwater inspections, stream flow analysis, and soil sampling.
• Prepare plans, specifications, construction estimates, and design reports under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Interpret analytical data for projects to develop appropriate and applicable conclusions and recommendations.
• Conduct post construction monitoring of projects.
• Perform construction inspection and oversight.
