Moffatt & Nichol, a leader in waterfront infrastructure, seeks a Water Resources Engineer to contribute to stormwater and coastal resilience projects in Oakland or Walnut Creek. You will work on flood risk management, municipal plans, and resilience strategies with a national practice backing you. The position requires 5–10+ years of experience, CA-licensed P.E.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
• 5–10+ years of water resources/stormwater experience.
• P.E. licensure or ability to obtain in CA within 6 months preferred.
• Experience with floodplain management, regulatory standards, and green infrastructure.

Responsabilidades

• Performs and oversees numerical modelling and engineering calculations for flood risk, system capacity, pump and outfall performance.
• Supports analyses on storm surge, tidal flooding, rainfall-driven flooding, and sea level rise.
• Prepares plans, specifications, and cost estimates for flood risk, coastal resilience, stormwater projects.
• Develops hydrologic and hydraulic models (1D/2D riverine, urban drainage, coastal/tidal).
• Produces technical memos, reports, and client presentations.
• Leads coordination with project team members, GIS, and stakeholders.
• Coordinates with agencies for regulatory compliance and permits.
• Travel as needed for project delivery.
