Job summary

North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) seeks a Professional Engineer (Water Resources) to support water resources projects, pumping operations, and reporting for the Water System. The role involves coordinating with internal departments, ensuring quality control of engineering work, and assisting with regulatory permitting and budgets.

The ideal candidate will manage assigned projects, analyze water system data, and present findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Texas PE license required.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical documents.
  • Familiarity with scheduling, modeling software, GIS, and CAD tools preferred.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise between Water Resources and multiple internal departments including Operations, Engineering & Permitting, Environmental, SCADA, IT, Procurement and Finance.
  • Participate in design meetings, studies and progress meetings as needed.
  • Review studies and plans for completeness as a quality control function.
  • Generate regulatory reports such as raw water accounting and Water Consumption Reports.
  • Assist with water supply permits and contracts administration.
