Job summary

North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) seeks a Professional Engineer (Water Resources) to oversee water resources projects, coordinate raw water pumping, monitor lake levels and maintain water accounting plans, and manage assigned studies in the Water System.

The role requires a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Texas PE license, and experience reading technical documents; familiarity with scheduling, modeling software, GIS, and AutoCAD is preferred; a Texas driver's license is

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the State of Texas.
Experience reading and interpreting technical documents.
Familiarity with scheduling, modeling software, GIS and/or design software such as AutoCAD preferred.
Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Acts as liaison between Water Resources and multiple internal departments.
Participates in Engineering design meetings and project progress meetings.
Reviews studies and designs for completeness and quality control.
Generates regulated and operational reports (e.g., water accounting, Water Consumption Reports).
Serves as project manager for assigned projects and studies in the Water System.
