AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Denver, Colorado team. You will lead and contribute to water resources projects across mining, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure sectors, delivering hydrologic analyses, water balance studies, and permitting support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
4+ years of professional water resources engineering experience, including mining projects or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for mining, infrastructure, and water resources projects.
Develop site water balance models and stormwater plans.
Support mine water management projects including dewatering and closure planning.
Conduct flood assessments and watershed evaluations.
Prepare technical reports and design documents.
Collaborate with geotechnical, civil, environmental, and mining engineers to develop integrated solutions.
Support environmental permitting efforts related to water resources and mining.
Participate in client meetings and business development initiatives.
Provide mentorship to junior staff.
Support construction-phase services including design reviews and site inspections.
