Job summary

Knight Piésold in Denver offers a Summer 2027 Internship opportunity for Civil or Mining Engineering students. You will assist experienced engineers on mining and infrastructure projects, including field investigations and QA/QC activities, while gaining experience with industry-standard tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D.

We seek Bachelor's to PhD students in Civil or Mining Engineering who are eager to learn, communicate well, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Civil or Mining Engineering.
• Strong interest in developing engineering and technical skills in a consulting environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of mining and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with design reports and proposals.
• Participate in field investigations and QA/QC activities.
• Contribute to geotechnical analyses and evaluations.
• Support permitting, reclamation and closure activities.
• Prepare civil layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
