Job summary

Knight Piésold invites motivated students to join our Summer 2027 Internship program in civil engineering. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will support mining and infrastructure projects, and develop design skills using AutoCAD Civil 3D and industry best practices.

This internship offers mentorship, opportunities to travel to project sites, and exposure to North American projects with a global firm.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Students entering their junior year, senior year, or graduate studies are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interest in developing engineering and technical skills in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Design major earthwork projects such as tailings dams, heap leach facilities and ancillary works.
• Prepare civil layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Produce design reports and assist with proposals.
• Participate in field investigations and QA/QC activities.
• Contribute to geotechnical analyses and engineering evaluations.
• Support permitting, reclamation and closure activities.
