Job summary

Kleinfelder's Geotechnical Services invites an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer-In-Training to join our Austin, San Antonio or Houston offices. You will support hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater systems, and BMPs with guidance from experienced engineers.

Gain hands-on experience using ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, and InfoWorks ICM to deliver solutions that protect communities while developing professionally with a cross-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam (or ability to pass in first six months).

Responsibilities

• Assist project professionals with analysis, design, and technical tasks across multiple water resources projects.
• Ask questions and seek knowledge from team members to apply the best approach and parameter selections.
• Seek direction on deadlines and time allotted for completion of tasks.
• Develop an understanding of the effort required and reasoning for use of differing approaches.
• Participate in peer reviews to review interim work and identify issues before proceeding.
