Job summary

RK&K is seeking an Engineer to join our Environmental Water Resources team in Baltimore, MD. The role supports multiple county and municipal projects across our firm, including green infrastructure, erosion control, watershed planning, and stormwater management.

Essential functions include delivering solutions for public/private sector clients, supporting stream remediation and shoreline stabilization, and developing complex stormwater facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering required.
• 0–2 years of experience in environmental water resources and stream project management.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Experience with preparation of construction plans and specifications.
• Floodplain analysis using HEC-RAS software.
• Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver water resource solutions for RK&K's public and private sector clients.
• Support a range of water resources projects including stream remediation, shoreline stabilization, stormwater systems, flood studies, and watershed plans.
• Develop stormwater management facilities for commercial, industrial, residential, and public works projects.
• Provide high-quality client service and timely project delivery.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, technicians, surveyors, and clients.
• Assist with Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, and GIS design reviews and applications.
• Provide office and site support for construction projects.
• Prepare permit applications for oversight agencies.
• Grow to lead tasks, budget planning, and subcontractor management.
