Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Texas is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Watershed & River Hydraulics team. You will support flood risk management, watershed planning, drainage, and water resources infrastructure projects across Texas and North America.

The role involves technical work plus increasing responsibility for coordination, budgeting, and client interaction, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative water solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering preferred.
• PE license preferred; EIT with PE plan considered.
• Minimum 3–6 years of water resources engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for watershed, riverine, stormwater, floodplain management, and drainage projects.
• Develop, calibrate, and apply HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-HMS, and other models for planning and design.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage project tasks and budgets.
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and client deliverables with clear writing.
• Utilize GIS and terrain data to support analyses and modeling.
• Lead client coordination and meetings, track milestones, and mentor junior staff.
