Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Texas is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to support a broad range of flood risk, watershed planning, and infrastructure projects across Texas and North America.

You will conduct hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, develop models (HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS), and contribute to report writing, client communications, and project coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • PE license preferred or EIT with ability to obtain PE within 1 year.
  • 3–6 years of water resources experience in hydrology/hydraulics.
  • Experience supporting municipal, county, state, regional, or federal projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for watershed, riverine, floodplain and drainage projects.
  • Develop and apply models (HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS) for planning, permitting, and design.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports and client deliverables.
  • Coordinate with engineers, GIS specialists, environmental scientists, and surveyors.
  • Support project managers with scope, budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Lead coordination with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
