Job description

Title: Senior Water Resources Project Manager

Location: Utah

I’m working with a growing engineering firm in Utah that is looking to add a senior water resources professional to its leadership team.

This is an opportunity for someone who has built a strong technical career and is ready to have a bigger say in the projects they lead, the clients they work with and the people they develop.

You’ll have the opportunity to lead major water resources and infrastructure projects, work directly with clients, mentor and develop engineers, and play a key role in growing the water practice.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading water resources and water infrastructure projects from inception through delivery
  • Managing and mentoring teams of PEs, EITs and other technical staff
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Taking the lead on proposals, pursuits and business development
  • Identifying new opportunities and growing existing client accounts
  • Providing senior technical direction across projects
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, resources and client expectations
  • Representing the firm within the regional water industry
  • Helping shape the continued growth of the water resources practice
The ideal background:
  • 7–15+ years of experience in water resources or water infrastructure
  • Strong project management and client-facing experience
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams
  • Background in areas such as water conveyance, pipelines, open-channel flow, hydraulic systems and water infrastructure
  • A strong network of relationships across the regional water industry
  • Experience developing business, winning work and growing client relationships
  • Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships

This role offers the chance to step into a position where your experience carries real weight. You’ll have the autonomy to lead projects, develop people, build client relationships and help shape where the water practice goes next.

For an established water professional with a strong regional network, this is an opportunity to bring your experience, relationships and leadership style together in a role with genuine influence over the direction of the business.
