Job summary

RESPEC in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) specializing in water resources to support ongoing and upcoming projects. You will work with experienced staff to develop water resources engineering skills and knowledge across Alaska and the Lower 48.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, geological engineering, or a closely related field
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
• Knowledge/experience/coursework related to hydrology and hydraulics
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; travel required
• Preference given to local candidates

Responsibilities

• Support multiple water resource projects simultaneously, collaborating with team members and clients to resolve technical challenges
• Conduct hydrology and hydraulic analyses and modeling to support watershed planning and design of hydraulic structures
• Prepare H&S reports and technical presentations communicating complex concepts
• Attend site visits to collect data and confirm field conditions
• Develop or support construction plans, specifications, and estimates
• Support preparation of permit applications
• Other duties as needed
