Job summary

Spicer Group is seeking a motivated Design Engineer for its Water Resources / Surface Water service line in Michigan. You will contribute to design plans, calculations, and permit applications while applying hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.

Software usage includes HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS to support studies and project delivery. The ideal candidate collaborates with engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality client solutions and supports project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic design, modeling, and report writing.
Ability to perform basic engineering calculations under supervision.
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing design plans, specs, permit applications, calculations, and cost estimates.
Support hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for water resources projects.
Utilize HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS for studies and drafting.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project teams to deliver quality solutions.
Contribute to project documentation and client-ready deliverables.
May oversee technicians and serve as on-site project representative when required.
