Spicer Group is seeking a Design Engineer to join our Water Resources / Surface Water Service Line. You will support design plans, permit applications, calculations, and project documentation, using tools like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS to deliver high-quality solutions.

We value detail-oriented, collaborative professionals who can work with engineers, technicians, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with basic engineering principles, codes, and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations under supervision.
• Capable of coordinating with drafters, engineers, and consultants to produce quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of design plans, specifications, and permit applications for projects.
• Assist in preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic calculations.
• Utilize HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM for studies and modeling.
• May perform plan drafting using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.
• May direct and review the work of Technicians.
