Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. seeks an Engineering Designer to support hydrologic and hydraulic studies, drainage design, and 2D analyses across water resources projects. You will draft drawings, perform calculations, and coordinate with multiple disciplines under a Professional Engineer.

Open to hybrid/remote options in SC offices; requires proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Revit, plus strong communication and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Completion of hydrologic and hydraulic studies (floodplain, drainage improvement, climate resiliency, dam breach).
• Design and preparation of construction drawings for water resources projects (drainage, stormwater management, erosion control).
• Work with MicroStation, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS; experience with Civil3D/OpenRoads preferred.
• Assist in development of multiple projects under supervision of a project engineer/manager.
• Prepare progress reports and coordinate multiple engineering disciplines and drafting work.
• Demonstrate good written and verbal communication; be a self-motivated team player.
• EIT certification preferred; PE within two years is required.
