Job summary

Brudis & Associates, Inc. in Maryland seeks a Design Engineer to support water resources and environmental projects across state and local jurisdictions. You will develop plans, perform hydrology/hydraulics analyses, and contribute to design under project engineers and managers.

Responsibilities include roadway drainage, SWM, erosion control, and report writing using CADD (Microstation) and hydraulic models. FE/EIT preferred with 2–4 years’ experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of design experience in civil engineering projects.
• MD SHA and local jurisdictions experience preferred.
• Strong CAD skills and Microstation experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans, specifications and estimates for design and permitting services including roadway drainage, open/closed drainage, environmental site design and SWM.
• Perform hydrology/hydraulics analyses and report writing.
• Utilize hydraulic modeling programs such as TR-20, TR-55, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-18, HY-8.
• Work with project engineers and managers to meet schedules and budgets.
