Job summary

Brudis & Associates, Inc. in Columbia, MD, seeks a Project Manager for the Water Resources and Environmental Department to lead design projects, supervise staff, and manage scopes, fees, and schedules.

You will coordinate with senior staff, prepare proposals, and contribute to marketing and business development, requiring strong technical writing and communication. Candidates should have a PE in MD, 12+ years in water resources, and proficiency with Microstation, HEC-RAS, and related tools;

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Water Resources, Biological Resources, or Agricultural Engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years’ experience in Water Resources and Environment Engineering with at least two as a project manager.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Maryland (or ability to apply for reciprocity).
• Experience on water resources and environment projects for various government levels.
• Modeling and design experience in water resources (e.g., drainage, stormwater, erosion and sediment control, coastal, stream restoration).
• Proficient with Microstation and related design software; strong technical writing and communication.
• Ability to manage staff, track billings, and coordinate with project teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Engineer of record for project development plans, specs, and estimates.
• Oversee design activity from engineers and drafters and coordinate with related disciplines.
• Manage project billing, budgets, schedules, and scope proposals.
• Prepare technical writing, man-hour estimates, and manpower projections.
• Support marketing and business development activities and report project status to leadership.
