Job summary

Stantec is seeking a mid-level civil engineer to contribute on dam, power, and infrastructure projects in the Nashville area. You will work under supervision of a senior engineer, performing analyses, calculations, and supporting field activities as needed.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, an EIT or PE license, and a minimum of five years of experience. Expect travel about 25–50% and opportunities to lead project tasks and develop design standards within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT or PE licensure with ability to reciprocity in other jurisdictions.
• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Willing to travel 25-50%.

Responsibilities

• Performs analyses and calculations under supervision of a Project Technical Lead or Senior Engineer.
• May perform field work related to geotechnical explorations and construction activities.
• Assists in preparing designs, drawings, specifications, presentations, and reports.
• Leads and manages other team members, delegates tasks as appropriate.
• Supports construction with submittal reviews, RFIs, and contract document clarifications.
• Helps develop new standards and specifications for the discipline.
• Prepares portions of project proposals and client communications.
