Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Wastewater Management or related discipline with four years of wastewater treatment administration experience.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Must possess a Class I Wastewater Treatment license.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and evaluates assigned staff, directs work assignments, counseling and disciplining employees when necessary, and completing employee performance appraisals.
• Fosters and maintains open communication with the Public Utilities Director, Assistant Public Utilities Director, and Environmental Engineer.
• Plans, directs and manages all water reclamation operations, including facilities, industrial sampling and reuse.
• Develops and implements long- and short-range plans.
• Monitors operations; ensures compliance with permits and regulations including non-potable reuse.
• Manages capital improvements and new construction projects.
• Administers the capital improvement budget for water reclamation projects; plans budget; monitors expenditures.
• Develops and implements operating policies and procedures for the section.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
