Job summary

American Water Works Association seeks a technical supervisor to support operation and maintenance of an advanced wastewater reclamation facility. The role oversees daily maintenance, operation, and process control of the WWRF with direct reports including the Chief Plant Operator, four Operations Supervisors and one Maintenance Supervisor.

Reports to the Utilities Director and collaborates with the Engineering Department on the Capital Improvements Program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
• Five (5) years of supervisory responsibility in plant operation and maintenance preferred.
• Possession of a current State of Florida Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator license or an out-of-state equivalent license, preferred.
• Municipal experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Supports operation and maintenance of an advanced wastewater reclamation facility.
• Oversees daily maintenance, operation, and process control of the Wastewater Reclamation Facility (WWRF) with direct reports.
• Manages and supervises day-to-day operations including maintenance and compliance.
• Collaborates with Engineering Department on the Capital Improvements Program.
• Reports to the Utilities Director.
