Job summary

City of Atlanta's Water Reclamation Division seeks an experienced manager to oversee operations, maintenance, and projects across wastewater facilities. This role directs subunits, sets priorities, and ensures safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance.

You will lead budgeting, procurement, vendor relations and cross-functional teams, coaching supervisors and frontline staff to deliver reliable service and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Engineering, or Science.
• Five years of progressively responsible management experience in Water Reclamation.
• Valid State of Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and administers water reclamation operations including maintenance, construction, collection, pretreatment and disposal.
• Oversees safety, compliance and cost controls; manages budgets and expenditures.
• Recommends personnel hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions; coaches supervisors.
• Represents the department in meetings and negotiations; reviews plans and ensures policy conformance.
• Plans and prepares operating and capital budgets; monitors spending against goals.
