Job summary

City Of Atlanta Careers seeks a DWM Water Reclamation Center Manager to oversee Atlanta's water reclamation facilities, including maintenance, construction, and pretreatment. Based in Atlanta, GA, the role leads a large staff and reports to department leadership.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least five years of progressive management experience in water reclamation, with strong budgeting, contract administration and safety acumen.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of theory, principles, practices and techniques of wastewater treatment and reclamation.
• Budgeting and purchasing knowledge.
• Understanding of public administration principles and practices including planning and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous and expeditious customer service to the general public and city staff.
• Plans, directs and administers water reclamation operations including maintenance, construction, collection, pretreatment and disposal.
• Directs and coordinates operational and technical activities of water reclamation facilities.
• Establishes and ensures compliance with methods and procedures for treatment to conform to state/local requirements.
• Oversees budget planning and expenditure monitoring for the department.
• Represents management in negotiations and interfaces with other agencies.
