Job summary

Fulton County in Georgia is seeking a senior leader to manage Water Reclamation, Commercial Pretreatment, Industrial Pretreatment, Sewer System Maintenance, and CMOM. You will provide direction, develop policies, manage budgets, and supervise staff and assets to ensure service goals are met.

The role requires an engineering or public administration background and a track record of regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and cross-department coordination within a public works context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Public Administration plus five years in Water Reclamation with 3 years supervisory experience.
• Must possess and maintain a Georgia driver's license. Must obtain PE or Water/Sewer Operator license within 12 months.
• Ability to learn and apply county policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements the group’s vision and direction, coordinating with other departments and jurisdictions.
• Develops and implements business plans aligned with department goals, budgets, and policy constraints.
• Ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations and prepares documents for the Board of County Commissioners.
• Resolves conflicts between operations and policies, and promotes operational efficiency.
• Oversees procurement processes, evaluation of proposals, bids, and quotes for Board consideration.
• Responds to public concerns and provides leadership for Water Reclamation, Pretreatment, Sewer Maintenance and CMOM.
