Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Tampa, FL seeks a Water Quality Maintenance Technician to keep the park’s water systems running smoothly. You will change pumps, repair piping, and perform tests and adjustments to ensure safe, clean water for guests and staff.

Heavy outdoor work is expected in Florida’s climate. The role requires 18+, 28+ hours/week, and relevant water chemistry experience; a CPO or AFO certification within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work at least 28 hours a week with a flexible schedule.
• CPO or AFO certification due within 6 months of employment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet driving guidelines.
• 4 years of knowledge in water chemistry and treatment experience.
• 3–4 years of maintenance work with pumps and PVC installation/repairs.

Responsibilities

• Change pumps, motors and piping for Water Quality Systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on Water Quality system sensors.
• Make PVC and other piping repairs from ½” through 14” including valves and devices.
• Move chemicals and supplies as needed by the systems.
• Perform water chemistry tests and make adjustments.
• Perform other Water Quality and Park Services duties as required.

Compensation Rate: $20.00

What You Get To Do

• Change pumps, motors and related piping as needed for Water Quality Systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on Water Quality system sensors and related materials.
• Make PVC and other piping repairs, for ½” through 14” including installation of valves and other devices.
• Move chemicals and supplies as needed by the systems under your control.
• Perform water chemistry tests and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform other Water Quality and Park Services duties as required.

What It Takes To Succeed

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to work at least 28 hours a week with flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and night work
• Water Chemistry and treatment experience preferred
• CPO or AFO required within 6 months of employment
• Must currently have valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving guidelines
• Preferred 4 years of knowledge of Water Chemistry and treatment experience
• 3 to 4 years of maintenance work, circulation pumps, PVC installation and repairs

What Else Is Important

• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. of material on a regular basis
• Work environment primary outdoors in Florida weather conditions(high heat/humidity, wet weather conditions
• Engage in extensive walking and standing
• Must be able to bend, stoop and squat for long periods of time
