Job summary

Great Lakes Water Authority in Michigan is seeking an Investigator to perform scheduled sampling across distribution and collection systems and in wholesale customer areas, including responses to events and customer complaints.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a Michigan S4 or D license within three years of Level 1 designation; duties include field sampling, reporting, recordkeeping, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Michigan S4 or D license within 3 years of Level 1 designation.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily meetings.
• Run daily sampling routes.
• Perform seasonal and system sampling; record results.
• Maintain vehicles and field equipment.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
• Submit written reports and maintain records.
• Understand regulatory sampling requirements.
• Operate GIS/geospatial sample-site maps.
