Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, calibrates, operates, and maintains laboratory equipment for water analysis.
• Collects and analyzes samples from water distribution and wastewater facilities.
• Performs BOD/CBOD analyses, pH and alkalinity, solids, metals, and microbiology tests.
• Reviews and interprets analytical test results for regulatory compliance.
• Reports results to appropriate documents and personnel.
• Notifies authorities of regulatory violations.
• Assembles data into proper reporting format and reviews new regulations.
• May assist with environmental impact studies or special projects.
• Assists senior staff with assignments as needed.
• Drives Metro Water Services vehicle to different locations.
• On-call and overtime may be required, including after-hours, weekends, or holidays.
