Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Proposal Manager in California to lead pursuit execution from planning to delivery. You’ll collaborate with business development, project managers, and technical experts to craft compelling client-focused stories that win work and advance HDR’s water initiatives.

The role emphasizes storytelling, win strategies, and coordinating teams to produce high-quality proposals. Strong writing and multi-tasking are essential in a fast-paced environment, with travel within Southern

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
Proven self-starter with a history of completing projects with limited oversight.
Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign.

Responsibilities

Lead pursuit teams through capture planning and proposal development, creating win strategies.
Coordinate persuasive proposal and interview materials with clear client-focused messaging.
Develop proposals, work plans, schedules and ensure RFP/RFQ compliance.
Write, edit, and refine non-technical content for clarity and impact.
Coordinate layouts and graphics to HDR brand standards.
Lead proposal reviews and guide revisions to ensure quality.
