Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Water Proposal Manager in California to lead pursuit execution from planning through final delivery. You will work with technical teams, business development, and project managers to craft compelling client-focused proposals and win strategies.

The role emphasizes strong writing, editing, and strategic marketing communication skills, with travel within Southern California as needed. HDR offers a dynamic, inclusive environment and a focus on impactful water projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience in A/E/C proposals or pursuits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and Adobe InDesign; ability to edit and craft nontechnical content.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit teams through capture planning and proposal development.
• Coordinate creation of proposal and interview materials.
• Ensure compliance with RFP/RFQ documents and HDR brand standards.
• Write, edit, and refine nontechnical content for client messaging.
• Lead proposal reviews and coach interview teams to improve outcomes.
• Coordinate technical staff, marketing partners and subconsultants.
