Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking a Project Superintendent for its Water division in the Greater Salt Lake City, UT area. You will own field operations, develop schedules, coordinate subcontractors, drawings, and specifications, and control budgets to minimize cost variances with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will lead teams, monitor daily logs and time cards, ensure compliance with OSHA standards, and help maintain Walsh’s reputation as a builder of choice in a fast‑growing environment

Qualifications

• Experience leading field operations on construction projects.
• Ability to schedule and coordinate subcontractors, drawings, and specs.
• Proven track record of managing budgets and reducing variances.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of field operations
• Create and manage project schedule
• Coordination of subcontracts, drawings, and specifications
• Establishing budgets and controlling cost
• Identify the causes of cost variances and eliminate negative variances
• Identify project risk, and work to mitigate it
• Communicate quality standards to each subcontractor and vendor
• Conduct systematic quality control inspections
• Follows company safety program, laws, and OSHA operating standards
• Manages jobsite cleanliness
• Prepares daily time cards for personnel under supervision
• Prepares daily logs
