Job summary

GHD in the United States is seeking a Project Manager to lead water and wastewater projects across New York City and surrounding areas, guiding investigations, design development and project execution for treatment, distribution and collection systems within the NYC Metro market.

The role emphasizes leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, feasibility studies, standards, and client relations, with a hybrid work model and a salary range of $141,000 to $235,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
• PE license in NY or ability to acquire it.
• At least 10 years of relevant water engineering experience.
• Knowledge of water regulations including wastewater treatment and conveyance, surface water treatment, lead and copper and disinfection byproduct rules.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team or independently.
• Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.

• Professional Supervision: supervise professionals and develop staff.
• Feasibility Studies: conduct cost-benefit analyses on changes.
• Project Management: manage a portfolio of projects and report to seniors.
• Client & Customer Management: manage important client relationships.
