West Des Moines Water Works seeks a seasoned Water Production leader to plan, coordinate, and oversee the design, construction, and operation of water production facilities. You will ensure compliance with regulations, manage a team, and drive quality in water services for the community.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental engineering background, extensive project oversight experience, and strong leadership capabilities to maintain safe and reliable water production operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, or related field.
• Five years of engineering design or review experience in water production facilities, with two years in supervisory roles.
• Two years of supervisory or personnel management experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate, oversee, and evaluate water production projects including towers, booster stations, and ASRs.
• Assist in establishing goals and objectives in compliance with laws, regulations, and the strategic plan.
• Serve as Loss Prevention Manager and coordinate the safety program.
• Manage staff performance and supervise Civil Engineer I – Water Production.
• Prepare reports for Board of Trustees and management; review for accuracy and quality.
• Provide technical assistance and interpret policies related to regulatory requirements.
