Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in developing facility planning, process design, and detailed designs for water treatment upgrades across Iowa and Nebraska. You will oversee contract administration, manage multiple client relationships, and contribute to expanding our drinking water portfolio.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory awareness, and collaboration with owners and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 7 years of related experience.
Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
Demonstrated leadership and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Independently lead multidisciplinary teams to develop facility planning documents, process design, detailed designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water treatment plant upgrades.
Lead administration of construction contracts during project delivery.
Serve as client manager for multiple clients primarily in IA/NE and help expand HDR's drinking water portfolio.
Support marketing efforts and coordinate design and production while ensuring deadlines and budget compliance.
